Kingdom of Heaven
Chapter 3
"Looks like we really have a great party here, Leo," my Father was so happy. I smiled hugely at him and turned to the crowd. Everyone was cheering under the beautiful orange glow under the lamp post.
I saw the men were pushing the barrel to a corner. Oh, those are the beers. Then, the ladies brought out the food and arranged them on a long table. Wow, they smelled really good and the smell made my stomach growled. My Father looked at me and laughed. I guess he heard that. I laughed too.
Both of us went to help the men carrying the barrels. My Father was strong, like old times. He helped everyone although he was the King. People used to say no to him because Kings did not do this kind of chores. However, as time passed, he and all the people were just like friends.
"My friends, thank you all for coming and now, let the Fiesta begin!!" said my Father boldly and loudly.
His words were followed by cheers and applauses. Then the band started to play some lively music. Everyone formed a big loop in the middle of the Great Hall and danced around. Everyone was laughing and singing. My Father joined in the dance. I smiled and looked at the crowd.
"Come boy, come eat. You must be hungry," a woman nudged me on my right shoulder.
"Thank you so much Mother Ginny," and I jumped into the feast.
Once I'm done, I sat down on the ground and watched the dancing crowd. Then I turned left and saw a bunch of men indulged themselves in the beautiful homemade beers. I could see some of them were drunk. Suddenly, my head was covered with arms. I was pushed to the ground and was smushed. I heard laughters. I lift my head up.
"Leo!! Haha.. We miss you so much, big brother!" I recognized the voice. It was Thomas'. Okay, I was smushed by kids. The kids from the village whom I used to play with since young. I shook my body to signal them and they got up. I repositioned myself and looked at the new crowd. I made a very angry face to scare them. They were shocked and scared. Suddenly, I burst into laughter and hugged all of them together.
"Guys! I miss all of you! Thomas, Freddy, Dan, Kurt, Webber, Natalie, Susie, and little Mandy, I'm so glad to see all of you."
The kids burst into smiles and laughters too. I could see in their faces and they really did miss me a lot. I was so pleased. I loved children, like they were my siblings. My mother once told me that I had a special gift, that was being able to bond with children and animals easily, just like my Father.
"Leo, tell us about the battle. I want to be a knight someday, just like you,"said Thomas enthusiastically.
"No, Leo. I'm scared. Please don't talk about wars," that was little Mandy. The girls agreed with her.
"It's better to not talk about that. We don't want wars to happen always, right? We want peace," I said. Thomas snorted.
"Leo, Leo, can we hear that story again?"
"What story?"
"The story the King told you," said Webber and followed by lots of "Please..".
"Oh, that one. Come on guys, I've said it for almost a thousand times."
"Let's hear it again. Please..."
I glanced through their eyes one by one. I loved to see the way they plead me to hear this story and how much they loved it.

"All right, all right," I repositioned myself again,"Here goes.... There is a great Kingdom far far away, called the Kingdom of Heaven..."
